With a wheel base of 110" the laod capacity is 1.75 tonne. The axles are similar to civilian Defender 110, but wider, a limited slip differential would have been standard. The chassis is one off, the cab is a fibreglass construction and tilts for engine access. Only the V8 engine was offered on trials vehicles, hence the MOD's relcutance to accept it. Stability was also a problem on early trials.
